Tons of people can say they enjoy sports – whether they’re playing, watching their kids play or kicking back and letting the professionals do all the work. Sporting events allow people to come together and enjoy a common interest in a unique way. If you’re on a team, you’re learning to work together to achieve a common goal, which is winning the game. If you’re cheering on friends and family then you’re able to bond with neighbors and friends who are also rooting for the same team. When our favorite sports are in season it’s not uncommon to have watching parties so we can get together to cheer on our favorite teams and yell at the refs when it’s totally their fault our team lost.
Learning about different sports is as simple as turning on the television, but the best way to really gain a deeper understanding of how the game is played is to dive right in. One way to do this is to get involved in community leagues like the Texoma Soccer Association. Whether you’re a novice seeking an intro course or a seasoned pro aiming to get in on some action, the Texoma Soccer Association has just what you need...there’s even a class for those who want to learn to referee the game!
Two types of soccer gameplay are offered through the Texoma Soccer Association – recreational and competitive. The recreational program is aimed at providing healthy activity while emphasizing enjoyment and development over competition. This program allows kids to make mistakes so they learn, and most importantly have fun! Each participant is given substantial playing time in order to maximize skill development and overall enjoyment of the sport.
On the other end of the field, so to speak, is the competitive program that is suited for the more committed players. This program is for those who have sharpened their skills and wish to take it to the next level. Players are provided an opportunity to be selected to register on competitive teams through local member associations. There are more than 10,000 competitive players registered on 600 teams throughout North Texas!

In order to spread the word and be noticed wherever they go, the Texoma Soccer Association made a smart marketing decision to wrap both the sides and back of their trailer in custom-designed vinyl. With a huge logo and a soccer player kicking a soccer ball, it’s impossible to mistake what this organization is all about.
