Here at Car Wrap City, giving back is engrained in our culture. Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of working with numerous Dallas-based nonprofits, organizations and even individuals to help fill a need however we can. Projects have ranged from store-front wraps, special wraps for events or promotions, specialty wraps for wheelchairs or helmets, and more.
A few years back, the Sherman Fire Department reached out to Car Wrap City with an order for a vinyl wrap. No, not a wrap for a fire truck, but a wrap for a theatrical backdrop! We’re used to getting out-of-the-box orders for vinyl, but they piqued our interest in learning more about this particular job.
Each school year, firefighters and teachers across the country do their part in educating children about the dangers of fire, and what to do if there's ever a fire in their home. The Sherman Fire Department has been participating in it’s own fire safety initiative for almost a decade now, called the Clown Brigade. The Clown Company travels to Sherman schools and demonstrates fire safety in a funny and interactive way. The firemen, dressed as clowns, participate in choreographed skits that teach kids from kindergarten through fourth grade about fire safety and tips.
After years of painting and building the skit props in-house, the Sherman Fire Department decided to look to Car Wrap City in Sherman for help. The team was in need of a new, customized backdrop each year, and having the firemen do in-house was proving to be difficult.
After hearing about the Clown Company, our owner Scott Bechtel knew this was something Car Wrap City wanted to be apart of. We’ve been donating a vinyl wrapped skit-backdrop to the Sherman Fire Department each year ever since.

Thank you to the Sherman Fire Department for teaching our community’s children about such an important topic! We’re proud to be your partner.
