True wine connoisseurs know the difference a bottle of fine wine makes when expertly paired with a delicious meal or when enjoyed after a long, stressful day at work. Of course there are great wines to be found while doing your normal grocery run, but when you’re looking for something a little more special you will want to go to the professionals – especially if, like many others, you haven’t quite tackled that bucket list item of becoming a connoisseur.
Misa Imports, Inc. is one of those experts you may wish to consult. They are dedicated to providing transparent pricing, unparalleled service and the finest quality wines and spirits of provenance from the world’s premier growing regions. As believers in the Golden Rule, they strive to always treat their family of customers and suppliers with honesty, integrity and respect. They work with wine merchants, restaurants and collectors to supply wine lovers from around the globe with the highest quality wine selection available.
Misa’s founder, Bassam “Sam” Assaad didn’t start out in the wine business, but once he got a taste he knew it was meant for him. Sam was born in the oldest city in the world, Damascus, and first came to the U.S. in 1977, not for wine but to attend aviation school in Los Angeles. After he received his pilot’s license, Sam moved to Lone Star State to study Applied Mathematics. It wasn’t until his pursuit of a degree in Business Administration and Marketing that he got his first taste of the wine business and Bordeaux. As he was completing a case study on Mouton Cadet he began to see how fruitful and tasteful this business could be. Once his studies were complete, he officially began his wine career by interning with a local Texas wine distributor, Tarrant Distributors, and soon joined the national French wine importer Bercut Vandervoort. He continued following his path through the vineyard with several other famed producers but kept having the feeling that he was meant for something more…
The seed had been planted in Sam’s mind to find a way to revolutionize the wine business, which is how Misa Imports was founded in 1998 in Dallas, Texas. How did he come up with the name? Being a family man, Sam named the company after his two children – Michael and Sarah! From the beginning, Sam has grown his business by staying true to his three guiding principles: transparent pricing, exceptional customer service, and top-quality products. It would appear these principles have served him well – in 2001 they expanded distribution into Texas and now have an affiliate distributor network serving 42 states, as well as imports to 8 countries around the world.
As part of their recent product spotlight, Misa came to Car Wrap City with a desire to feature two separate products – and for the record, both look and sound delish! Armed with the knowledge that investing in mobile billboards would get them noticed wherever they go – it was a no-brainer to feature these divine drinks via vinyl wraps.
First up was Mamamango, a balanced mix of Moscato wine and pure mango purée. Move over Mimosa, Mamamango is sure to be the new brunch babe!
The second product featured via vinyl wrap is Toréo. What is Toréo you ask? It is handcrafted sangria that is made by blending Spanish and French wines with Mediterranean fruits according to a recipe developed by renowned American Chef and restaurateur Christian Gomez of Wet Stone Wine Bar in San Diego.
Be sure to give Mamamango and Toréo a taste, we’d love to hear what you think! And while you’re at it, feel free to reach out to us with any questions on how vinyl wraps can help promote your business.
